Two doctors may test new Kansas abortion regulations in federal court.
Drs. Herbert Hodes and Traci Nauser of the Center for Women’s Health, may challenge anti-choice politicians with a lawsuit, according to The Associated Press.
Thanks to the right-wingers and anti-choice crazies of Kansas, there is only one facility that can legally provide abortions in Kansas. One Planned Parenthood center fits the new regulations implemented by Kansas government, which makes it nearly impossible for abortions to exist in the state.
Some believe the pair will drop the lawsuit, in light of the Kansas Planned Parenthood facility receiving their license to perform abortions, following the new Kansas guidelines. The pair’s argument may be weakened because they cannot argue receiving an abortion license in Kansas is “impossible” if the Planned Parenthood facility passed Kansas abortion regulations.
Kansas is one of the many states entrenched in an anti-choice war.
Ohio’s House recently passed a bill which would prevent abortions when a heartbeat is detected and does not provide an exception for incest or rape.
